In the first part of this episode, we discuss the now-viral hug between Amber Guyger and Botham Jean's brother and our opinion on the optics of the whole situation. We also discuss the idea of weaponized forgiveness and the "righteousness porn" that many folks seem to be addicted to when things like this happen.
In the second part, we talk about the idea of surrogation bias in society and how many of us tend to borrow or take on the experiences and ideas of others instead of developing ideas, experiences, and opinions of our own on things.

Monday Aug 26, 2019
Monday Aug 26, 2019
With the recent death of David Koch, the celebrations on social media have us wondering what is inside of humans that explains our deep-seeded desire for death, brutality, violence etc. Why is it that they say that humans love a good train wreck? Are humans inherently good, evil, or simply self-preserving and are any of these assumptions bad?
In this episode, we try to make sense humanity's interest in destruction, death, and the fall of other people (especially if we don't like them).
